How to make homemade wine from grapes: 2 ways
Homemade wine is a very tasty and absolutely natural drink, as it is usually made from one or two ingredients without the addition of flavorings and flavor enhancers. Homemade wines are most often made from apples, raspberries, cherries, sea buckthorn, and grapes.
Today, FoodOboz editorial team shares 2 recipes for aromatic, delicious homemade grape wine that will turn out to be very successful and will be a great treat.
1. Wine with spices
Ingredients:
- Grapes - 5 kg
- Cloves - 75 g
- Cinnamon - 100 g
- Nutmeg - 10 g
- Wormwood - 15 g
- Dry ginger - 10 g
- Hot capsicum - 8 g
Method of preparation:
- Pour all the spices into a mortar, mash well, and collect in a cloth bag.
- Wash the grapes, separate them from the branches, and squeeze the juice out of them.
- Pour the finished juice together with the cake into a previously prepared wooden barrel, and put a bag of spices on the bottom of it.
- Be sure to move the barrel to a cold, dark place for 1 month, where the wine will ferment well.
- Then pour the wine into glass bottles.
2. Homemade white wine from grapes
Ingredients:
- Grapes - 10 kg
- Sugar - 3 kg
Method of preparation:
- Wash the grapes well, and disassemble them so that there are no twigs.
- Then squeeze out the juice, pour it into a suitable container, and leave it for 5 days.
- After the time has elapsed, be sure to strain the juice through cheesecloth, pour it into a glass bottle, and add sugar if you want dry wine – you can leave out the sugar if it is sweet – add it based on your taste.
- Close the bottle with a water stopper and leave it for 3 weeks at room temperature to start the fermentation process.
- You can determine the readiness of the wine by its color – if the wine brightens and a natural sediment forms, carefully strain and bottle it, and transfer it to a cool place.
