How to make grated apple pie: a recipe without eggs, milk, and butter
Grated cake is a delicious, simple, and quick pastry made from shortcrust pastry. The dessert can be made without eggs or any other dairy products. You can use jam, jam, fruit, or berries for the filling.
Food blogger Maryna Novikova (marisha_recepti) shared her recipe for grated apple pie without eggs, milk, or butter on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- water – 160 ml
- vegetable oil – 120 ml
- sugar – 180 g
- vanilla sugar – 10 g
- flour – 500 g
- salt
For the filling:
- apples – 3-4 pcs.
- sugar – 2-3 tbsp
- juice from 1/2 lemon
Method of preparation:
1. Add oil, sugar, salt, and vanilla sugar to the water. Stir well.
2. Gradually add flour and knead the dough.
3. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts. Put 1/3 of the dough in the freezer and the rest in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
4. For the filling, grate the apples and simmer with lemon juice and sugar until soft.
5. Put most of the dough into the mold, forming the sides.
6. Put the filling in the mold.
7. Grate the rest of the dough and put it on top.
8. Bake at 180 C for 40 minutes.
