Twist or pletinka is a delicious braid-shaped pastry. Traditionally, it is made with yeast dough, which makes the pastry very fluffy and tall. But if you don't really want to bother with it, then cottage cheese dough is quite suitable for baking. In this case, the twist is very soft and has a delicate flavor.

Ingredients:

For the dough:

  • cottage cheese - 200 g
  • sugar - 40 g
  • vanilla sugar - 10
  • salt - a pinch
  • egg - 1 pc
  • vegetable oil or melted butter - 60 g
  • flour - 180-200 g
  • baking powder - 5 g

For the filling:

  • butter - 50 g
  • sugar - 70 g
  • cinnamon

Method of preparation:

1. Mix the cottage cheese, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, egg and butter until smooth.

2. Sift the flour and baking powder into the curd mass. Knead the elastic dough.

3. Roll out the dough in the shape of a rectangle measuring 30*40.

4. Lubricate with oil.

5. Sprinkle with sugar mixed with cinnamon. Wrap in a roll.

6. Cut the roll lengthwise without reaching the edge. Form a braid by intertwining the cut parts of the roll.

7. Bake at 180 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
