  • apricots - 1 kg
  • sugar - 3 cups
  • water - 1 cup

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash the apricots thoroughly, divide them into 2 halves, and remove the pit.
  2. Make the syrup: mix sugar and water, and bring to a boil over low heat.
  3. Pour the apricots with hot syrup, and leave for 1-2 hours to infuse well so that they release the juice, and stir occasionally.
  4. After the time has elapsed, pour the syrup and juice back into a suitable container and cook until it boils.
  5. Afterward, pour the syrup over the apricots again, put on the fire, and cook until boiling, pour into sterile jars, and preserve.
  6. Be sure to turn the jars upside down, cover them with a warm cloth, and after they have cooled completely, transfer them to a cool, dark place.

2. Thick apricot jam with cinnamon and lemons

  • apricots - 1.5 kg
  • zest - 1-2 tsp.
  • lemon juice - 4 tbsp.
  • sugar - 600-700 g
  • cinnamon - 1 stick

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash and stone the apricots. Then cut into slices, sprinkle with sugar, and leave for 1-2 hours to let the fruit juice out.
  2. Grate the zest, squeeze the juice from the lemon, add everything to the apricots along with the cinnamon, mix thoroughly, and cook until it boils another 10 minutes.
  3. Pour the finished jam into tanks and preserve.

3. Apricot jam with orange

  • apricots - 1 kg
  • oranges - 2 pcs.
  • sugar - 500 g

Method of preparation:

  1. Wash and halve the apricots, and remove the pit.
  2. Squeeze the juice from the oranges.
  3. Put the apricots in a large saucepan, preferably with a thick bottom, pour the juice, cover with sugar, stir, and leave for 1 hour to let the juice boil.
  4. Then cook over low heat, be sure to crush the apricots with a wooden spoon to make a smooth puree, mix thoroughly, and cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. Whisk the finished jam with a blender until smooth, transfer to sterile tanks, and let it cool completely.
  6. You can preserve it or simply cover it with a nylon lid and refrigerate. It can be stored in this way for up to 2 weeks.
