How to make crispy Belgian waffles: secrets from Marichka Padalko
Delicious and crispy waffles have become increasingly popular lately. That's because they can be prepared as a sweet breakfast or snack, or as a main meal with a salty filling. It's an unrealistically delicious treat that can be easily prepared in your kitchen.
Famous Ukrainian TV presenter Marichka Padalko shared a recipe for crispy Belgian waffles. It was posted on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- eggs - 3 pcs.
- sugar - 150 g
- butter - 180 g
- milk - 200 ml
- baking powder - 1.5 tsp.
- flour - 300 g
Method of preparation:
1. Beat eggs with sugar.
2. Add the melted butter.
3. Gradually pour in the milk.
4. Add the flour and baking powder. Mix well.
5. Bake the waffles in a waffle iron.
Some tips from the TV presenter:
- Before baking, it is better not to grease the waffle panels with oil – this recipe contains a sufficient amount of melted butter.
- Turn the waffles over periodically during baking. This way, they will be more even in appearance.
- The thickness of the batter depends on the consistency of the butter: whether it is well melted or not. In general, if the dough is thick, do not pour too much into the mold, otherwise, it will start to melt during baking and fall out of the mold.
