How to make cream cheese from kefir at home: an elementary idea

Cream cheese is a versatile product that is ideal for a quick snack on sandwiches or as a great addition to a salad or pancakes. And if you like this product, you can make it at home and store it in the refrigerator for a while. All you need is regular kefir in bags.

Homemade cream cheese from kefir

Yield – 500-550 g

Ingredients:

  • kefir 2.5-3.2% – 2 liters
  • salt, spices, garlic – to taste

Method of preparation:

1. Put the kefir in the freezer until it is completely frozen.

2. Take out, remove the wrapper, and set aside to drain from excess liquid.

3. To make the texture more creamy, when the kefir is slightly thawed, put any press.

4. Let it stand for a while and spread it on bread.
