How to make cherry liqueur without vodka: an authentic Ukrainian recipe
Vyshnivka or cherry liqueur is a fairly popular Ukrainian alcoholic drink. The process of preparation is quite simple, but not hasty at all. It takes several weeks, but it's definitely worth it. By the way, you can make it with or without alcohol, using only sugar. If you follow all the fermentation recommendations, the drink will turn out flawless.

Ingredients:
- cherries
- sugar - 800 g
Method of preparation:
1. Pour cherries with pits into 3-liter jars. Do not reach the edge.
2. Add sugar (800 g per one jar).
3. Close the jar with a rubber glove. Leave to ferment.
4. After the glove has fallen off, pour the cherries into jars and close them. Pour water with sugar (1 kg of sugar per 4 liters of water) to the cherries that remain in the jar and close with the glove again.
5. After fermentation, strain the cherries and mix them with the first in a large bowl. Add more sugar if necessary. Pour into jars and close with lids. Throw the cherries away.
