How to make bulgur risotto: a dietary alternative to pilaf
Risotto is a traditional Italian dish. It is made mainly from rice. But if for some reason you don't eat this product or just want to diversify your tastes, you should use bulgur. It turns out to be very crumbly and dietary.

Ingredients:
- shrimp - 400 g
- dry bulgur - 1 cup
- canned corn - 2 cans
- onion - 1 pc.
- garlic - 4 cloves
- low-fat milk - 1 cup
- water - 1.5 cups
- salt
- turmeric (for color)
Method of preparation:
1. In a large saucepan, fry the shrimp over high heat until tender.
2. Remove and put on a separate plate.
3. In the same saucepan, lightly fry the finely chopped onion and garlic in a small amount of oil.
4. Add corn, bulgur, milk, water and spices.
5. Simmer for about 20 minutes until tender.
6. Serve with shrimp.
7. The time for frying shrimp depends on their size. Seafood is cooked quickly, so you don't need to stew it. It is enough to fry on both sides over high heat until they turn red.
8. Bulgur can be replaced with brown rice. In this case, the cooking time will increase.
