How to make bread in a skillet: an elementary idea

Making bread can be very simple. You don't even need to turn on the oven to make a homemade fluffy loaf - a frying pan will do just fine. All you need to do is knead the basic dough.

The idea of making crispy bread in a griddle was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Galina with the nickname reeixit.

Ingredients:

  • 350 milliliters of lukewarm water
  • 20 g. fresh yeast
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tbsp of flour
  • 1 tsp of sugar

Stir and wait for the cap to come up. Then add:

  • 2 tbsp. oil
  • 550 g of flour

(From 150 g of flour, I made a mix of rye flour - 100 g and pumpkin seed flour - 50 g), the remaining 400 g of flour was plain flour. You can use regular flour or mix it up as you wish.

Method of preparation:

1. Knead the dough, cover with a towel and set aside to rise for an hour.

2. Knead the dough several times, shape it into a loaf, place it on parchment, dust the top with flour, and leave it for another hour to rise.

3. Put the pan on low heat, cover tightly and bake for an hour, then turn the bread over and bake for another 20 minutes under the lid.
