How to make an apple pie without an oven: it turns out lush and juicy
A fluffy, soft, and delicious apple pie can be prepared in minutes without an oven – a frying pan will do. This apple dessert cooks much faster than classic pies, the apple filling is very flavorful, and the dough is well baked.
Food blogger Alina FooDee shared a recipe for apple pie in a skillet on her YouTube channel.
The dough
- egg – 1 pc
- flour – 120 g
- baking powder – 0.5 tsp
- sour cream or yogurt – 180 g
- sugar – 40 g
- vanilla sugar – 10 g
- salt – a pinch
The filling:
- apples – 2 pcs
- sugar – 1 tbsp
- cinnamon – 1 tsp
- lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- butter – 10 g
Method of preparation:
1. First, prepare the filling. To do this, cut the apples into slices.
2. Put a piece of butter in a frying pan. Put the apples, and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Stir and fry for 5 minutes over low heat.
3. For the dough, mix all the ingredients until smooth. The ingredients should be at room temperature.
4. Pour the dough over the apples. Cook under a lid for 15 minutes over low heat. If condensation appears on the lid, wipe it off with a paper towel.
5. When the dough is baked, turn the pie to the other side. Cook for another 5 minutes.
