How to make almond milk at home – the easiest way
Almond milk is a great alternative to regular milk, and it is also much healthier. It also has a beneficial effect on the cardiovascular system due to omega-3 fatty acids, and most importantly, it can be easily prepared at home.
Today, the FoodOboz editorial team shares an easy recipe for making almond milk at home.
Before you start making milk, all you need to do is choose good, high-quality raw almonds and filter the water.
Ingredients:
- raw almonds - 1 cup
- filtered water - 4 cups
- optional honey - 1 tsp
- salt - a pinch
Method of preparation:
- Soak the nuts in cold water overnight, then strain through a colander and rinse in cold water.
- Transfer to a blender, add 4 cups of water, and blend until smooth.
- Strain through cheesecloth several times, and pour into a glass bowl, you can add a spoonful of honey, but this is not necessary, because it will taste sweet anyway.
- Be sure to refrigerate it.
It is worth noting that almond milk can be stored chilled for 4-5 days.
