How to make a healthy shawarma at home: we share a simple recipe
Shawarma is a dish that many people love. It is commonly considered unhealthy, but if it is prepared in a new way, it can "sparkle" with new colors and flavors.
Cook Anna shared a recipe on Instagram for a delicious, healthy shawarma with vegetables, fillet, and a healthy sauce.
Ingredients:
- pita bread – 2 pcs.
- chicken fillet – 1 pc.
- tomatoes – 2 pcs.
- fresh cabbage or lettuce leaves
- Korean carrots – 50 g
- cheese slices – 70 g
Sauce:
- fatty sour cream – 2.5 tbsp.
- paprika – 1/2 tsp.
- dill – 1 tsp.
- garlic – 1 clove
- salt – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Sauce: mix the sour cream with chopped dill, garlic, paprika, salt, and stir.
2. Cook the fillet, and cut it.
3. Chop the cabbage and tomatoes.
4. Put the cheese, fillet, tomatoes, Korean carrots, a little cabbage, and 1/2 of the sauce on the pita bread, and gently roll it up.
5. Fry the finished roll on a grill/grill pan/non-stick frying pan until golden brown.
