How to make a fluffy sponge cake dough – the chef revealed the secrets
Making a successful sponge cake dough is a challenge because it is very "capricious" and even the slightest mistake will reduce the work done to zero. That's why you need to be extremely careful with it and do everything strictly according to a proven recipe.
Culinary expert Serhiy Dzhurenko shared on his website the main secrets of making perfect, fluffy, airy, light, and most importantly, tasty and flavorful sponge cake dough.
The expert noted that the most affordable way to make a delicious sponge cake is to simply beat eggs and sugar well into a fluffy foam, add flour, pour into a mold, and bake.
The chef added that the composition of the perfect dough for a successful cake is very simple and consists of only 3-5 ingredients.
Recipe for fluffy sponge cake dough from Serhiy Dzhurenko
Ingredients:
- Eggs - 6-8 pcs.
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Wheat flour - 1 cup
- Zest and vanilla - to taste
Method of preparation:
- Mix eggs with sugar, and beat well into a foam so that it increases 2-3 times.
- Sift the flour and add it, mixing gently so that the dough is like thick sour cream, add the zest and vanilla.
- Pour the dough into the mold and put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 200 C.
- Allow the cake to cool before cutting into cakes.
