How to make a festive, delicious salad from beets: we share an original recipe
Beetroot is one of the simplest and healthiest vegetables that can be used to make not only borscht, but also savory sauces, salads, and old-fashioned dishes such as Shpundra. It's worth noting that beets are best baked rather than boiled to retain all their beneficial properties.
Chef Anatoliy Dobrovolsky shared a recipe for a delicious, original beetroot salad with prunes, mustard, and spinach on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Boiled beets - 1/2 pc.
- Unagi sauce - 1 tbsp. l.
- Olive oil - 2 tbsp. l.
- Grainy mustard - 1 tbsp. l.
- Salt - to taste
- Garlic - 1 clove.
- Cream cheese - 20-30 g
- Spinach - 20-30 g
- Prunes - 3 pcs.
- Chopped nuts - 1 tsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Bake or boil the beets, cut into thin slices.
2. Mix unagi sauce with mustard, salt, olive oil and garlic.
3. Finely chop the prunes.
4. Put the beetroot slices on a dish, top with cream cheese, spinach, prunes, sauce, sprinkle with nuts and eat.
