How to keep bread fresh and mold-free for two weeks: it's not freezing
There are already quite a few ways to keep bread fresh for a long time. But for some reason, there is still no one that has become a commonly accepted norm and is suitable for absolutely everyone.
Recently, a video was posted on the YouTube channel "Frakking Creations" by a husband and wife team, which claims that the proposed method of storing this product will keep it fresh and protect it from mold for two weeks. And it's not about freezing at all.
They claim that their method can be used for all types of baked goods, including regular supermarket bread, as well as farmhouse, homemade, hot dog buns, and English muffins.
In summer, bread can be stored in the kitchen for a shorter amount of time than in winter. This is due to the higher room temperature. Therefore, during hot times, bread should be placed in the refrigerator. But not just like that, but after making several holes in its packaging. It can be either a plastic bag from the store or a special bag for storing bread.
Holes prevent moisture from entering the bag, which can then condense and cause accelerated mold growth. Use a pair of scissors to make small holes where the bread bag is tied, as well as a few holes at the bottom of the base and on the top of the loaf, and make sure they are evenly spaced. Thanks to this simple life hack, the bread will stay fresh for two weeks.
