How to fry porcini mushrooms with onions deliciously: for porridge, pasta and even meat
Fried porcini mushrooms with onions is the simplest, yet most delicious combination. This dish can be eaten on its own or served with a variety of side dishes, or even with fried meat.
Food blogger Oksana Kretsul, known as oksana_kretsul, shared a recipe for fried porcini mushrooms with onions and garlic on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- porcini mushrooms - 1 kg
- onions - 3 pcs
- garlic - 4-6 cloves
- butter - 2 tbsp.
- salt
- olive oil
Method of preparation:
1. Wash the mushrooms. Cut the caps into slices and stems into cubes.
2. Cut half of the onion into half rings for the caps, and the rest into cubes for the stems.
3. Fry the onion in olive oil until golden brown, then immediately add the mushrooms and garlic cut in half. The mushrooms must first release their juice, and then they need to be cooked until the water has completely evaporated.
4. When the mushrooms begin to brown, add butter and salt. The mushrooms should turn golden and slightly caramelized. This indicates that they are ready.
5. If desired, you can add cream or sour cream.
