How to fry liver to make it soft and not bitter: just one ingredient
It often happens that after cooking, the liver is dry and bitter. This can be avoided by adding ingredients of opposite flavors, such as onions or even apples. They perfectly offset the bitterness, and make the liver juicy, flavorful, and soft.
The recipe for fried liver with apples was shared on one of the culinary blogs (zefirok_for_you) on Instagram.
An important point: before cooking, the liver must be cleaned of films, ducts, and bile. They contain the largest amount of bitterness.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver – 400 g
- apples – 2 pcs
- onions – 2 pcs
- flour – 2-3 tbsp
- smoked paprika – 1 tsp
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the apples into rings, peel from the middle, then fry in a frying pan on both sides in vegetable oil. Transfer to a plate.
2. Cut the onion into rings and fry in the same pan as the apples. Fry until golden brown.
3. Peel the liver from the films, roll it in flour, and fry until tender.
4. When the liver is ready, add the apples and onions, as well as salt, pepper, and paprika. Fry for 2-3 minutes.
