How to easily prepare the popular Italian pastry panettone
If you are one of those housewives who likes to experiment and cook something new, then instead of the classic cakes, you can make an extraordinary delicious Italian pastry called panettone. The technology for making this cake is slightly different from usual. However, the result is worth it. Panettone turns out to be very airy and fluffy, and it just melts in your mouth.
Popular chefs Serhiy shared a recipe for panettone cupcakes on his Instagram page.
Ingredients for 15 cupcakes:
- wheat flour - 550 g
- dry yeast - 10 g
- milk - 200 ml
- salt - a pinch
- eggs - 3 pcs
- sugar - 100 g
- vanilla - 1 g (vanilla sugar - 5 g)
- egg yolks - 3 pcs
- butter - 200 g
- zest of 1 lemon
- zest of 2 oranges
- candied fruit - 100 g
Method of preparation:
1. Mix flour and yeast.
2. Heat milk to room temperature. Dissolve salt in it.
3. Add eggs and milk to the flour mixture. Knead the dough until it is smooth.
4. Grease a bowl with vegetable oil, put the dough in it and cover with cling film. Leave in a warm place for 1 hour.
5. Meanwhile, mix sugar, vanilla sugar and egg yolks. Beat until smooth.
6. Gradually add room temperature butter while continuing to beat.
7. Knead the dough and mix it with the butter.
8. Grease a bowl with oil and put the dough in it. Cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place for 1 hour.
9. Add lemon, orange zest, and candied fruit to the finished dough. Knead the dough.
10. Fill the molds.
11. Chop walnuts and peanuts. Sprinkle over the muffins.
12. Cover the muffins with cheesecloth and put in a warm place for 15 minutes.
13. Preheat the oven.
14. Bake at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
