How to deliciously salt fresh lard with garlic: the easiest way
Lard is a tasty and satisfying product that can be eaten in any form: raw, baked, fried, boiled, and even spread on sandwiches.
Food blogger Tetiana Pryimak (happybearfood) shared an unusual recipe for salted lard with garlic and spices on her Instagram page, which is very flavorful and easy to prepare.
Ingredients:
- fresh lard - 300 g
- spices, salt
- bay leaves
- garlic - 3 cloves
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the fresh lard into portioned cubes so that it is convenient to cut it when serving.
2. Mix the salt and spices, grate the garlic and mix well. Rub the lard with the resulting mass on all sides.
3. Put the lard in a glass jar and add the bay leaves.
4. Cover the bottom of a deep saucepan with a towel, place the jar on it and pour enough water into the saucepan to almost completely cover the jar. Put on the fire, bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes.
5. When the allotted time has passed, remove the jar from the stove and cool it completely, then put the lard in a container and leave it in the freezer overnight.
