How to cook young potatoes in an unusual way: boiled and fried at the same time
The young potato season continues. And if you haven't had time to try this seasonal delicacy yet and still want to cook a vegetable in an unusual way, there is a great solution. The main feature of cooking is that young potatoes are fried and boiled at the same time. And when combined with your favorite spices, it tastes incredible.
Food blogger Yulia (yulia_mikulich) shared an unusual recipe for young potatoes that everyone will love on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- young potatoes
- water
- butter
- salt, pepper, spices
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Small or medium-sized potatoes are best for cooking. First, wash and cut them in half.
2. Dry the potatoes with paper towels.
3. Heat a frying pan. Put the potatoes in, but not tightly. Fry on all sides until golden brown. Add salt, pepper and spices in the process.
4. Pour water into the pan to half cover the potatoes. Cook under the lid for 10-15 minutes until tender.
5. When the potatoes are ready, remove the lid. If water remains, fry the potatoes over high heat until the liquid evaporates.
6. Then add a small piece of butter and fry for another minute.
