How to cook the juiciest chicken shawarma: tips from a famous food blogger

It never hurts to have a lot of recipes for cooking delicious meat in your arsenal. Especially when it comes to chicken, which is healthy and dietary.

For example, food blogger Olga Ryabenko shared a spicy and juicy recipe on Instagram that will definitely be remembered and enjoyed by everyone.

Ingredients for shawarma:

  • Chicken thigh - 5-6 pieces
  • Onion - 1 pc
  • Potatoes - 1 pc

Ingredients for the marinade:

  • Greek yogurt - 2 tbsp
  • Paprika - 1 tsp
  • Chili flakes - ⅓ tsp.
  • Swan salt - 1 tsp.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Ingredients for the glaze:

  • Melted butter - 60 gr
  • Zest of ½ lemon
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Parsley or cilantro - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. Add all the ingredients for the marinade to the meat. Cover with cling film and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

2. Thread ½ onion on wooden or metal skewers, add meat and onion again.

3. Cut off one side of the potatoes and place the skewers with the meat on it.

4. Place in a preheated 180° oven for 40 minutes.

5. Melt the butter, add all the ingredients for the glaze, and brush the meat.

6. Put it back in the oven for 10 minutes.
