How to cook soft and juicy liver: a simple way
Despite the fact that liver is very healthy and nutritious, not everyone dares to cook it. The product has a very dense texture and a pronounced bitter taste. But, in fact, it is very easy to get rid of it.
According to the following technique, for a delicate flavor and soft texture, the liver should be stewed in a large amount of sour cream and vegetables.
The idea of cooking soft liver in sour cream was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Yulia Symonchuk (cook_julija_simonchuk).
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 500 g
- carrots - 1 pc
- onion - 1 pc
- 20% sour cream - 300-400 g
- butter - 50-70 g
- flour - 1-2 tbsp
- salt, pepper - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Chop the onion into small pieces and grate the carrots and fry everything in half the butter until tender.
2. Put in a bowl. Wipe the frying pan with a paper towel and put the rest of the butter and the liver (peeled and cut into small pieces and sprinkled with flour) and fry on all sides until golden brown.
3. Next, add the onion and carrot roast and stir.
4. Add sour cream (if the mass is too thick and you want it thinner, you can add a little water).
5. Mix, salt and pepper.
6. Simmer under the lid for no more than 5 minutes from the moment of boiling.
7. Add herbs if desired and serve with mashed potatoes or another side dish.
