How to cook shortbread cookies with bran and margarine
Chocolate bran cookies are a delicious pastry for tea. They are based on the simplest shortbread dough with margarine and vegetable milk. The dessert is prepared from available products and even with a minimum of ingredients. You will get a lot of them, enough for at least several days.
The recipe for chocolate bran cookies was shared by food blogger Inna (inna_levenets) on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- wheat flour - 200 g
- bran - 50 g
- vegetable margarine - 8 tbsp
- sugar - 100 g
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
- salt - 1/4 tsp.
- cocoa powder - 100 g
- vegetable milk - 50 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Beat margarine and sugar with a mixer for 2 minutes.
2. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, bran, cocoa, salt and baking powder.
3. Mix dry ingredients with margarine and sugar and add milk. Knead the elastic dough. If there is not enough flour, add more.
4. Form the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
5. Divide the dough into 4 parts, roll each into a thin layer and cut out round cookies.
6. Bake at 180 degrees for 8 minutes.
7. The finished cookies can be greased with chocolate and nut paste or caramel and covered like buns for sandwiches.
