How to cook pollock fillets in a delicious and unusual way: a recipe from Volodymyr Yaroslavsky

Fish is an essential product in everyone's diet. Experts advise eating fish at least 2-3 times a week. It is best not to fry fish, but to steam or bake it. It can also be used to make delicious cutlets and added to salads.

Chef Volodymyr Yaroslavsky shared a recipe for delicious battered fish nuggets on Instagram, which turn out to be very crispy.

Ingredients:

  • Pollock fillet - 450 g
  • cream - 35 g
  • egg - 1 pc.
  • fried onions - 60 g
  • flour - 75 g
  • starch - 75 g
  • salt, paprika, curry
  • water - 150-180 g

Method of preparation:

1. Cut a strip of bones from the thawed pollock fillet, squeeze the fillet well from excess moisture and cut into slices.

2. Fry the onion in oil or butter over medium heat until golden brown.

3. Place the fish, onion, egg, cream, salt and white pepper, if you like, in a blender bowl. Grind everything until a homogeneous minced meat is formed.

4. Cover a small board or baking sheet with plastic wrap, spoon small products of any shape on it, but so that they are thin, and transfer to the freezer so that they freeze well.

5. Batter: mix flour, starch and spices, add water and knead the dough. It should be thick.

6. Take the nuggets out of the freezer, immediately roll in flour, then in batter, and deep-fry for about 3-5 minutes.

7. Put the finished nuggets on a paper napkin to absorb all the excess fat and serve hot!
