How to cook perfect buckwheat with chicken in one pan

When there is no time to cook complex dishes, housewives turn to old, tried-and-true recipes. Thanks to them, you can cook a delicious dish that everyone will love in a short period of time and without additional effort.

Food blogger Olha Riabenko shared a recipe for one of these dishes. On Instagram, she shared how to cook chicken and buckwheat in one pan, which is perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • chicken legs - 5 pieces
  • salt
  • pepper
  • onions - 1-2 pcs
  • carrots - 1 pc
  • sweet pepper - 1 pc
  • buckwheat - 1 cup
  • broth or water - 3 cups
  • dried parsley
  • garlic - 1 piece
  • bay leaf
  • fresh herbs

Method of preparation

1. Season chicken legs with salt and pepper and fry until golden brown on all sides. Then set aside.

2. Cut onion into half rings and dice carrots. Fry in the same pan for a few minutes.

3. Dice pepper and add to the pan. Fry.

4. Add buckwheat to the vegetables, stir and fry for a minute.

5. Add broth or water, dried herbs and chicken legs. Then immerse the halved, unpeeled garlic.

6. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes until tender.

7. Add bay leaf and chopped fresh herbs at the end.
