How to cook liver so that even children can eat it: it turns out soft and tender
Liver is a product for amateurs, and preparing it in a way that children will eat is a challenge with an asterisk. But fortunately, it is possible. It is enough to stew the liver with vegetables and add a little sour cream – the dish is soft, juicy, and has a delicate creamy flavor.
The recipe for chicken liver with carrots and onions was published in one of the culinary blogs (moireceptuforeva) on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver – 400 g
- carrot – 1 pc.
- onion – 1 pc.
- sour cream – 2 tbsp.
- bay leaves
- allspice
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse the liver and cut it into strips, removing the veins.
2. Grate the carrots and chop the onions. Pour into a preheated frying pan and simmer with water under the lid for 5-7 minutes.
3. Add the liver, stir, and simmer under the lid for 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. At the end add sour cream, salt, bay leaves, and pepper. Stir, and let it boil for one minute under the lid.
