How to cook liver deliciously: it will be soft and not bitter

Very often, the liver turns out bitter during cooking. To make it soft inside and odorless, cooks advise cooking it with apple, onion, and cognac.

The cook shared a recipe for delicious and soft liver with apple, onion, and spices on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • Flour - 100 g
  • Ground nutmeg - 1/4 tsp.
  • Salt, pepper - to taste
  • Chicken or turkey liver - 500 g
  • Cognac - 2 tbsp
  • Green apples - 2-3 pcs.
  • Blue onions - 2 pcs.
  • Brown sugar - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 50 g
  • Butter - 1 tbsp.

Method of preparation:

1. In a bowl with the flour, add the nutmeg, salt and pepper and mix.

2. Dredge the cleaned liver from the films in flour and fry in a frying pan until golden brown. The liver should remain pink inside. Pour the cognac into the liver and cook for another 2 minutes.

3. Cut the apples into 8 pieces and the blue onion into 4 pieces, put them in a frying pan, add the brown sugar and oil, and caramelize until golden brown.

4. Combine the apples and onions with the liver.
