How to cook juicy yantiqs with cheese and herbs: better than chebureks
Yantiqs are so-called pies that look very similar to chebureks. They are based on unleavened dough with water and a filling, which is most often made with cottage cheese and herbs. Yantyky are cooked in a frying pan.
The recipe for yantiqs with cheese and herbs was published in one of the culinary blogs (angelinazinkovaa) on TikTok.
Ingredients:
- flour - 300 g
- salt - 0.5 tsp
- water (boiling water) - 130 ml
- vegetable oil - 30 ml
Filling:
- Suluguni hard cheese - 200 g
- greens - 50 g
- feta cheese - 150 g
- onion
Method of preparation:
1. Mix the flour and salt with water. Knead the dough first in a bowl.
2. Then transfer the dough to the surface. Add the oil in two stages, continuing to knead the dough. Leave the dough to rest for 20 minutes.
3. For the filling, grate the suluguni cheese, chop the herbs, and cut the onion into rings or cubes.
4. Mix the ingredients for the filling, adding cheese.
5. Divide the finished dough into 6 parts. Roll each of them into a circle.
6. Put the filling on one side of the dough, cover with the other side, and secure.
7. Fry the yantiqs in a dry frying pan on both sides. When ready, brush them with oil.
