How to cook green peas tasty and healthy: a dish for meat and fish
Typically, young green peas are frozen and then used as an addition to stews, soups, and bread spreads. However, the product can also become the main ingredient in a main dish – mashed potatoes. When cooked properly, it is very healthy and perfect for meat and fish.
Food blogger Dina Liashyk (dina_liashyk) shared a recipe for healthy mashed young green peas on her Instagram page.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
- peeled young peas\frozen - 400 g
- water - 250 ml
- salt
- olive oil
Method of preparation:
1. Pour peas into boiling salted water. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly.
2. Beat the finished peas with a blender to a puree. Choose the consistency of the puree to taste. If there is too much water, drain it.
3. When serving, drizzle with olive oil.
