How to cook green borscht with sorrel: a simple recipe
Green borscht with sorrel is a light, tasty, and seasonal dish. It's quick to prepare: just cook a good meat or vegetable broth and add bright greens.
Food blogger Kateryna Movchan (katarina_movchan) shared a recipe for green borscht with sorrel and meat broth on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- meat broth
- onion
- carrot
- potatoes
- boiled eggs
- sorrel
- herbs
- bay leaves
- salt, pepper
Method of preparation:
1. First, cook the meat broth. Then take out the meat and chop it.
2. Cut the vegetables into random cubes. First, fry the onion until transparent, then add the carrots, stir and fry for another 3-4 minutes.
3. Add the potatoes and pour the broth over. Cook until the potatoes are soft.
4. Add the meat from which the broth was cooked.
5. Chop the herbs and eggs. Add to the soup. Also add spices and let it boil for a few more minutes.
