How to cook freshwater fish so that it does not smell: best tips

Fish is a valuable and healthy product that, according to experts, should be in everyone's diet 2-3 times a week. You can cook fish in different ways, it all depends on the species. But if you want to cook freshwater fish, you need to eliminate its inherent odor, for example, with the help of spices, citrus fruits, herbs, and garlic.

Cook Olha Chymych shared a recipe for freshfish with dill, salt, lemon juice, and spices on Instagram.

To remove the odor, put a lot of chopped dill inside the fish. And to avoid the smell of fish during cooking, cook it in the oven!

Ingredients:

  • any freshwater fish
  • dill
  • salt pepper
  • lemon juice
  • seasoning for fish

Method of preparation:

1. Clean the fish. Wash it well and remove the insides.

2. Season with salt and pepper on both sides, sprinkle with lemon juice, and add seasoning and plenty of chopped dill.

3. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 180°C for 20 minutes.
