How to cook Frank Underwood's favorite ribs from House of Cards
Today FoodOboz editorial team tells you how to cook Frank Underwood's favorite ribs from the cult TV series House of Cards. If you've watched the show, you probably remember that Frank used to go to the same restaurant for these ribs all the time. Freddy, an old friend of Underwood's, used to cook the ribs there according to a secret recipe.
Freddy's ribs can be called a real guilty pleasure of Frank Underwood. Kevin Spacey, who played Underwood, ate them so deliciously every time he was in the frame that he could have claimed the title of the best food blogger if he had written a food blog instead of political intrigue.
Since Freddy kept the recipe for his signature ribs a secret, our editorial team gives you their own take on this dish.
- pork ribs - 1 kg
- ketchup - 4 tbsp
- Tabasco sauce - 1 tsp
- soy sauce - 6 tbsp
- dried garlic - 1 tsp
- ground black pepper - 1 tsp.
- Wash the ribs and remove excess fat. Cut into equal pieces so that each one has one bone.
- Mix ketchup, tabasco, garlic, pepper and soy sauce in a bowl. You can buy the ketchup or make your own.
- Dip the ribs into the mixture and mix well so that the sauce covers the ribs well from all sides. Put in the refrigerator to marinate for 2-3 hours.
- Put in a foil oven bag. Bake at 180 C for 30 minutes.
- Take out, cut the bag and return to the oven for 10-15 minutes to brown the ribs.
