How to cook fluffy rice with vegetables: a recipe in a pan
Rice is considered one of the most versatile cereals. If you decide to have a rice dinner and want your meal to be healthy, nourishing, and balanced, it is best to supplement the porridge with meat and vegetables.
Food blogger Iryna Tymoshchuk shared a recipe for crumbly rice with vegetables and chicken in a frying pan on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- rice – 400 g
- boiling water – 500 ml
- chicken fillet
- onion
- carrot
- peas
- bell pepper
- corn
- salt, spices
Method of preparation:
1. In a frying pan fry the carrots, peas, bell peppers, and corn.
2. At the same time, fry the fillet in a second frying pan until tender.
3. Put the washed rice in the pan with the vegetables. Fry for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Then pour boiling water over the rice.
5. Add salt and spices at the same time. Simmer for 15-20 minutes over low heat under a lid.
6. Once the fillet is ready, add the onion and spices. Fry for a few minutes.
7. Mix the cooked rice with chicken.
