According to Anastasiia Solopii, perfectly cooked rice is characterized by its crumbly structure. This can be achieved by cooking the cereal both in a pot and a frying pan.
Basic rules for cooking rice in a saucepan:
- Before cooking, be sure to rinse the rice several times until the water becomes clear.
- Do not stir the porridge during the cooking process.
Basic rules for cooking rice in a frying pan:
- First, fry the rice in olive oil for a few minutes.
- Pour water over the porridge and cook without stirring.
To emphasize the flavor of the rice, the food blogger recommends adding saffron to the dish. But if you don't have it at home, there is a cheaper analog – turmeric.
Rice is a versatile porridge that goes well with vegetables, salads, seafood, and fish.
Finally, Anastasia shared a recipe for zucchini pancakes with rice.
Ingredients:
- Boiled rice – 250 g
- Zucchini – 250 g
- Onion – 1 pc
- Eggs – 1 pc
- Flour – 50-70 g
- Pepper
- Salt
Method of preparation:
- Grate the zucchini and squeeze out excess moisture.
- Chop the onion.
- Mix rice with onion and zucchini. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
- Fry over medium heat, covered, until golden brown.
