How to cook festive potato balls: a win-win appetizer

The main advantage of potatoes is that you can cook them any way you like, and even the simplest products can be used to make a delicious appetizer for a festive table. One of them is potato balls, which can be made with or without filling and served with your favorite sauces.

The recipe for potato balls was shared by food blogger Inna Levenets on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • peeled potatoes - 700 g
  • cashews - 200 g
  • vegetable milk - 100 ml
  • corn starch - 2 tsp
  • dried garlic - 1/2 tsp
  • salt, pepper

Method of preparation:

1. Pour boiling water over the cashews and leave for 30 minutes.

2. Peel and dice the potatoes and boil them in salted water.

3. Mash the potatoes.

4. Beat cashews, milk and starch in a blender.

5. Mix the mashed potatoes with the cream. Add garlic, vegetable oil, salt and pepper.

6. Use a pastry bag to make balls or form them by hands. Grease with vegetable oil.

7. Bake at 170 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

Best served with sauces.
