How to cook delicious buckwheat with chicken for dinner: a hearty meal for the whole family

Buckwheat and chicken is a delicious combination that can be used to make a hearty dinner for the whole family. You don't need to cook the cereal or bake the meat. Just fry everything in a skillet with seasonal vegetables.

Ingredients:

  • chicken legs – 5 pcs
  • salt, pepper
  • onion – 1-2 pcs
  • carrots – 1 pc
  • sweet pepper – 1 pc
  • buckwheat – 1 cup
  • broth or water – 3 cups
  • dried parsley
  • garlic – 1 pc
  • bay leaf
  • fresh herbs

Method of preparation:

1. Season the chicken legs with salt and pepper and fry until golden brown on all sides.

2. Set aside.

3. Cut the onion into half rings, and dice the carrots.

4. Fry in the same pan for a few minutes.

5. Dice the pepper and add to the pan. Fry.

6. Add buckwheat to the vegetables, stir, and fry for a minute.

7. Add broth or water, dried herbs, and chicken legs.

8. Then dip the halved, unpeeled garlic in it.

9. Cover and simmer for about 15 minutes until tender.

10. Add bay leaf and chopped fresh herbs at the end.
