How to cook delicious banosh with bryndza and sour cream at home: a simple recipe

Banosh is a tasty and satisfying dish based on corn grits and topped with bacon and cheese. The Ukrainian dish is prepared with water and milk, but banosh is especially tender and flavorful with homemade sour cream. The main thing in the cooking process is to observe the proportions.

Food blogger Yaroslav (iamgerasymenko) shared a recipe for banosh with brynza on his TikTok page.

Ingredients:

  • homemade sour cream/33% cream - 500 ml
  • butter - 50 g
  • corn grits - 120 g
  • salt
  • bryndza

Method of preparation:

1. Pour sour cream into a saucepan and put on fire. Stirring with a whisk, melt it completely.

2. Immediately add the butter. Stir to combine.

3. Add cereal, stirring.

4. Add salt and, stirring constantly, cook the cereal until it starts to lag behind the walls of the pan and gather into one lump.

5. Serve the banosh sprinkled with cheese.
