How to cook chicken liver in an unusual way: just add one ingredient
To make chicken liver tasty and unusual at the same time, it is enough to add one common ingredient - apples. When properly cooked, the fruit is slightly caramelized, making the finished liver very tender, soft, and most importantly, not bitter.
Food blogger Anastasia Solopiy shared a recipe for fried chicken liver with apples on her Instagram page.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver - 500 g
- sweet and sour apples - 2 pcs
- butter - 30 g
- berry jam - 2 tbsp
- cumin
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Wash and cut apples into slices.
2. Fry them in 15 g of butter for about 7-9 minutes to caramelize the fruit.
3. Put the cooked apples on a plate.
4. Wash the liver, cut off excess fat and cut into pieces. Dry thoroughly.
5. Fry the liver in butter in small portions on each side for 3-4 minutes.
6. Return the apples to the pan with the liver, add salt, cumin and jam.
7. Fry for another 2 minutes.
