How to cook bone and vegetable broth: a recipe from Yevhen Klopotenko
The broth is a very healthy and tasty dish that experts recommend eating for everyone, especially in the fall and winter. It's worth noting that broths can be made from various meats and vegetables.
Culinary expert Yevhen Klopotenko shared a recipe for a delicious bone and vegetable broth on his website, which can be eaten as a separate dish or used as a base for other dishes.
Ingredients:
- water – 2 liters
- beef bones – 500 g
- onion – 1 pc
- carrot – 1 pc
- celery root – 50 g
- black pepper – 5 peas
- allspice – 2 pcs
- bay leaf – 1 pc
- rosemary – 2-3 sprigs
- salt – to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. Wash the carrots and celery root.
3. Cut the onion in half, and leave it in the husk for a darker broth color.
4. Put the vegetables and bones on a baking sheet covered with parchment and place in the oven to bake for 40 minutes.
5. Put the baked products in a saucepan, add water, allspice and black peppercorns, bay leaf, and salt. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
6. Add a few sprigs of rosemary in 5 minutes before cooking.
7. After cooking, remove the vegetables, rosemary, and bones from the broth.
8. Strain the finished broth through a sieve and you can eat it right away. You can also use this broth for cooking other dishes or cool it completely at room temperature, pour it into a jar, and refrigerate.
