Beans are considered to be very tasty and healthy, but they can be quite difficult to cook. The product takes a long time to boil, and not everyone is willing to spend a lot of time on it. But by following just a few tips, you can significantly reduce the time it takes to cook beans.

Boiling beans

Ingredients:

  • red beans - 0.5 kg
  • onion - 2 pcs.
  • carrot - 1 pc.
  • oil - 100 ml
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • tomato paste - 1 tbsp
  • bay leaves - 1 pc.
  • ground hot and sweet paprika - to taste
  • ground black pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste

Method of preparation:

The technology of boiling beans

  1. Cover the beans with water overnight. Rinse well, add fresh water, and bring to a boil. Drain this water too – pour hot water twice as much as the beans.
  2. Cook the beans with onions and bay leaves for about 1.5 hours.
  3. Drain the cooked beans in a colander, do not pour out the water.
  4. Cut the onion into thin half rings. Fry together with grated carrots in vegetable oil until soft. Add crushed garlic and paprika.
  5. Dissolve tomato paste in the bean broth, and pour it over the beans so that they are covered by about a finger. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Bean cutlets

Ingredients:

  • beans - 200 g
  • baking soda - 1/4 tsp.
  • potatoes - 2 pcs.
  • onion - 1 pc.
  • ground cumin - 1/2 tsp.
  • ground coriander - 1/2 tsp.
  • dry garlic - 1 tsp.
  • flour - 80 g
  • salt - to taste
  • flour for rolling cutlets
  • oil for frying

Method of preparation:

  1. Dice the potatoes and boil until tender.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan, add chopped onion, salt, coriander, and cumin. Fry until the onions are soft.
  3. Put onion, potatoes, beans, granulated garlic, and salt to taste in a blender
  4. Blend beans, onions, potatoes, and garlic until smooth. Add salt.
  5. Add the flour. Mix well.
  6. Form the patties.
  7. Fry the patties on medium heat on both sides until golden brown
  8. Put on a paper towel.
