How to cook apricot jam correctly to make it healthy: the simplest technology

Apricot jam is a great filling for a variety of pastries or an addition to tea or milk. This fruit makes jam with a pleasant sweet flavor and sourness. And it can be made from just two ingredients. This way, the maximum benefit is preserved.

The idea of making delicious apricot jam was published on the cooking page of food blogger Irina Shabanova (cookingwithlove_18) on Instagram.

Ingredients:

  • apricot - 1 kg
  • sugar - 400 g

Method of preparation:

1. Wash and pit the apricots.

2. Put them in a thick-bottomed saucepan, preferably in a cauldron.

3. Cover with sugar, stir, and leave for 30-40 minutes to let the juice flow.

4. Put on the lowest heat.

5. Cover, and cook for about an hour, stirring occasionally.

6. When the apricots are soft, beat with an immersion blender until smooth.

7. Cook for about an hour to the desired consistency (depends on what you like, thinner or thicker, lighter or darker, the longer you cook, the darker the color will be).

8. Pour the finished jam into sterile jars and roll it up.

9. Wrap and leave to cool completely.
