Avocado is a versatile fruit that goes well with almost all foods; it can be safely added to salads, cereals, delicious sandwiches, and even desserts. The fruit is also a great ingredient for smoothies, as well as for delicious guacamole and homemade mayonnaise.
It is important to know that avocados, although a healthy product, can often cause allergies, so experts recommend eating them very carefully.
Victoria Stelmakh, founder of the largest Ukrainian-language Facebook group on complementary foods and baby food expert, told FoodOboz exclusively what to cook with avocado and how to serve it deliciously.
"Avocados go especially well with grilled or simply baked chicken, pork, and tropical fruits such as mango or pineapple," the expert said.
Some ideas for adding more avocados to your diet:
1. Use avocado instead of mayonnaise with Greek yogurt in chicken, salmon, egg, and tuna salads.
2. Prepare classic guacamole using ingredients such as avocado, onion, lime, tomato, and cilantro.
3. Top the chicken breast with a salad of tomatoes and diced avocado.
4. Add frozen avocado slices to a smoothie for a healthy fat boost.
5. Baked avocado with filling.
6. Add avocado to salads and grain bowls.
7. Whip up a dairy-free chocolate mousse with avocado
8. Bread the avocado and bake for a crispy treat.
9. Combine half the avocado with eggs and berries for a hearty breakfast.
10. Mash the avocado on toast or half of a roasted sweet potato.
