Pate is a great option for a delicious sandwich base that is absolutely safe and healthy if you make it yourself. There are a lot of pate recipes, but the classic one is still the best, if you want to cook it in a new way, you can add vegetables.
MasterChef judge Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi shared a recipe for a delicious liver pate with vegetables on Instagram, which will be a great treat for a festive table.
Ingredients:
- chicken liver, peeled - 500 g
- onion - 300 g
- carrots - 250 g
- celery stalk - 75 g
- butter - 200 g
- butter - 1-2 tbsp.
- honey - 20 g
- salt, pepper - to taste
- thyme - to taste
Method of preparation:
1. Clean the liver from the films and be sure to remove the bile.
2. Peel and dice the vegetables.
3. Heat a frying pan well, and fry the vegetables until golden brown.
4. Chop the celery and onion, add to the pan and fry.
5. Add the liver to the cooked vegetables, fry well, season with pepper and salt.
6. Be sure to add the thyme at the end, cover, and simmer the liver for about 5 minutes.
7. Then remove the lid and evaporate the excess liquid well.
8. Add the honey.
9. Put the cooked liver into a blender or meat grinder and blend well until smooth, add the butter.
