How to combine new potatoes with fish in a delicious way: an idea from a food blogger
New potatoes are a seasonal summer dish. This product is often cooked with butter, sour cream, or cracklings. But potatoes also go well with fish, namely mackerel.
The idea of cooking new potatoes with mackerel was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Valerii Ponomar (ponomar_valeriy).
Ingredients:
- mackerel – 1 pc
- young potatoes – 300 g
- cherry tomatoes – 6-8 pcs
- onion – 1/2 pc
- salt
- black pepper
- Provencal herbs
- sour cream – 2 tbsp
- grainy mustard – 1 tsp
- honey – 1 tsp
- olive oil 1 tbsp
- chili flakes – a pinch
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the mackerel into fillets and make cuts.
2. Put the halves of young potatoes, tomatoes, and onions on the parchment.
3. Add salt and pepper.
4. Sprinkle with herbs.
5. Put the mackerel on top.
6. Whisk sour cream, mustard, and honey.
7. Pour over the fish.
8. Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 200 degrees.
