How to close pitted raspberry jam: the most successful recipe
Raspberry jam is a wonderful home preservation that is easy to make. It can be jammed with gelatin, with or without sugar, raw or uncooked, and supplemented with other fruits or berries: banana, orange, lemon.
One of the cooking channels (Ukrainian Homemade Dishes) on YouTube published a recipe for pitted raspberry jam.
Ingredients:
- raspberries - 1 kg
- sugar - 1 kg
- citric acid - 1 g
Method of preparation:
1. First, carefully sort and rinse the berries under running water. Beat them with an immersion blender until smooth.
2. Rub the resulting mass through a sieve. Then put it in a saucepan and add sugar. Stir with a spoon or spatula, put on medium heat, and bring to a boil. After boiling, reduce the heat to low and cook until foam appears. However, it will need to be removed.
3. Then cook the raspberry mass for 7-10 minutes over low heat, then add citric acid and cook for another 10 minutes.
4. Pour the hot jam into sterilized jars. Roll up with sterile lids. Turn the jar of jam upside down and leave it in this form until it cools completely.
