How to choose quality shrimp in the store

  • Shrimp that are covered with spots have been treated with chemical solutions. It is dangerous to eat such a product.
  • A dry shell indicates that the product has been stored for a long time.
  • If there are white stripes on the shrimp, it means that they have been frozen repeatedly.
  • A bent tail indicates that the shrimp was already dead at the time of catching.

To make these seafoods really tasty and not rubbery, they need to be cooked properly.

Some secrets of cooking delicious shrimp:

  • Add salt to the boiling water.
  • It is better to put the rest of the spices in a special sieve so that they release their flavor better and give the dish a spicy taste.
  • Add the shrimp and stir.
  • As soon as the water begins to boil, remove the pan from the heat.
  • Drain the water.

Shrimp in garlic and honey sauce

Ingredients:

  • honey - 60 ml
  • soy sauce - 60 ml
  • chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  • shrimps - 400 g
  • olive oil - 2 tsp
  • green onions - to taste

Method of preparation:

  1. Mix honey, soy sauce, and garlic in a separate bowl.
  2. Add the shrimp, mix, cover with foil, and marinate in the refrigerator for 15-120 minutes.
  3. Shake off the excess marinade from the shrimp and fry in a preheated frying pan with vegetable oil for 1 minute on one side.
  4. Turn the shrimp over, pour in the sauce, and cook for another 1 minute.
  5. Sprinkle shrimp with green onions, and serve with rice and boiled broccoli.
