How to can tomatoes for the winter quickly and without hassle: a recipe proven over the years
If you have a lot of tomatoes, be sure to preserve them for the winter. Canning such vegetables is very easy because they don't require any special marinade or various manipulations. The next simplest recipe has been used by more than one generation of housewives – the preparation is successful both in appearance and taste.
The simplest idea for cooking tomatoes for the winter is published on the Instagram page of a food blogger with the nickname muha family. The marinade is based only on salt, vinegar, and sugar.
Ingredients for a three-liter jar:
- salt - 1 tbsp.
- vinegar - 3 tbsp
- sugar - 6 tbsp.
Method of preparation:
1. Wash tomatoes, sterilize jars and lids.
2. Boil water, and pour into jars with tomatoes.
3. Let stand for 10-15 minutes.
4. Drain the water into jars.
5. Add salt, sugar, vinegar, bay leaf, peppercorns. allspice
6. Pour boiling water a second time and roll up the jars.
7. Turn over, wrap, and leave for a day to cool completely.
