How to bake cauliflower in breading: crispy and without specific odor

Cauliflower is exactly the kind of vegetable that you can always find on store shelves regardless of the season. The vegetable itself is considered low-calorie and dietary, so dishes based on it will be the same. One of the cooking options is baking. If you choose the right ingredients, the cabbage will be very crispy, juicy, and will not have a characteristic smell.

Food blogger Svitlana (lanas_diet) shared a recipe for baked cauliflower in crispy breading on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • cauliflower - 1 pc.

Breading:

  • breadcrumbs/almond flour/ground nuts - 70
  • ground parmesan cheese - 40-50 g
  • herb mix - 1 tbsp
  • dried garlic - 1 tsp.
  • favorite spices

The egg mixture:

  • eggs - 1-2 pcs.
  • salt, pepper
  • mozzarella cheese (optional)

Method of preparation:

1. Turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees.

2. Cut the cabbage into steaks 3 centimeters thick.

2. Beat eggs with salt and pepper.

4. Mix the ingredients for the breading.

5. Dip the cabbage steaks first in the egg, then in the dry mixture. Put on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the remaining dry mixture over the steaks evenly.

6. Bake for 15-20 minutes.

7. If desired, sprinkle with grated cheese and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
