Hot toast in a new way: breakfast and dessert at the same time
Classic hot toast, which is usually eaten for breakfast, can be served not only in salty but also in sweet form. French toast will come in handy for this. Traditionally, they are fried in eggs, but for a richer and juicier taste, they can be soaked in milk with cinnamon.
Food blogger Mariia Lysytsia (masha_lisitsia) shared a recipe for French toast on her Instagram page that can be served for breakfast or as a delicious dessert.
Ingredients:
- baguette/loaf/bun – 3 pieces
- eggs – 1 pc
- milk – 100 ml
- sugar
- butter
Method of preparation:
1. First, beat the egg, milk and sugar. Add cinnamon if desired.
2. Cut the baguette or bun into pieces.
3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a frying pan.
4. Dip the bun pieces in the milk mixture and put them in the pan. Fry on both sides until golden brown.
5. Put the finished toast on a plate, sprinkle with sugar, or serve with jam or jam.
