How to make a honey cake in a frying pan

Honey cake is a truly legendary cake, as it is prepared for almost every holiday in Ukraine. And if you love this dessert, but don't have much time to bake it, you can use a simpler method and make it in a frying pan.

Recipe for honey cake in a skillet

Ingredients for the dough:

  • butter – 100 g
  • sugar – 200 g
  • baking soda – 1 tsp
  • eggs – 3 pcs
  • honey – 3 tbsp
  • flour – 600 g
Kneading the dough

Ingredients:

  • sour cream – 700 g
  • sugar – 1 cup
  • vanillin
  • cream – 200 ml
  • cream – 33% of
  • seasonal
Forming the base for cakes

Method of preparation:

1. For the dough, combine all the ingredients except flour and put over medium heat in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.

2. Stir continuously.

3. When the butter and sugar dissolve, and the mass becomes foamy and increases 2-3 times, remove from heat and pour into the flour. Knead the dough first with a spatula, as it is hot. When it cools down a bit, knead it with your hands.

4. Seal in a bag and let cool completely.

5. Then divide the dough into nine equal parts, roll out into a thin layer.

6. Bake in a dry frying pan over medium heat.

Sprinkling the cake with crumbs

7. Let the cakes cool completely.

8. For the cream, combine all the ingredients and beat for 3 minutes.

9. Then assemble the cake, let it soak for several hours, or better yet, overnight.

Decorating a cake with seasonal fruits

10. Use about 3 tablespoons of cream for each cake. Decorate with seasonal fruit.

11. Sour cream cream with sourness goes well in this cake and soaks the cakes well, because the cream is not thick.
